We believe the best coffee in the world can only come from a supply chain that is honest, fair and protective of the land it depends on.

Farmer First
We pay premium prices directly to cooperatives — no middlemen, no exploitation. Our farmers receive above-market rates because the quality of their work deserves it. We visit every cooperative we source from.

Land Stewardship
Shade-grown farming practices protect Kenya's highland biodiversity. We work with cooperatives who use natural fertilisers, protect forest cover and manage water sources responsibly across all three regions.

Zero Waste
Coffee pulp is composted back into the soil. GrainPro packaging is reused where possible. We track our logistics carbon footprint and are working toward carbon-offset shipping by end of 2026.

Pay above-market prices to all cooperatives
Kibo's buying price is always above the C-market price and fair-trade minimums. Quality deserves quality payment.

Visit every farm we source from, every year
No anonymous sourcing. Our team visits all three regions each harvest season to assess quality and maintain relationships.

Support shade-grown farming across all regions
We only source from cooperatives using shade and mixed-canopy farming — protecting biodiversity and reducing chemical use.

Work toward organic certification by 2027
We are actively supporting cooperative partners through the organic transition process across Kirinyaga and Nyeri.

Offset all international shipping carbon by 2026
We are measuring our export logistics footprint now and working with a certified offset programme for all FOB shipments.
